In the Evacuated Solar Tubes System, each evacuated solar tube consists of 2 glass tubes telescoped. It is created a vacuum ambient by being absorbed the air between two tubes. So it is minimised any heat loss. The outer tube is made from borosilicate which is a durable material to shocks (even the hail shocks of �*5mm). The inner tube is also made from the same material. But it is coated with a special selective surface (Al-N/Al). By this special coating, approximately *3% of incoming solar radiation is absorbed with a maximum efficiency and converted to the heat. So the reflection back rate of the solar radiation is decreased to minimum level (up to 7%).
